Ashley Dunbar focuses her practice in the areas of product liability and premises liability defense.

Ashley has acquired extensive litigation and negotiation experience throughout her career. Prior to joining McDonald Toole Wiggins, P.A., Ashley zealously represented thousands of indigent clients in juvenile and criminal proceedings as an Assistant Public Defender in the Ninth Judicial Circuit.

During her four year career as an Assistant Public Defender, Ashley handled cases ranging from criminal traffic matters to felonies punishable by life imprisonment.  She was lead counsel in over twenty contested criminal trials, five trials as co-counsel, collaborated on several successful appeals, and successfully resolved countless other cases with effective pretrial strategies and negotiation.

While in law school at the University of Florida, Ashley competed on the Black Law Students Association’s International Negotiation Team and advanced to the Final Four as a first-year student. The following year she was appointed to be the Team Coach. Ashley also competed on UF’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Team, and served as the Executive Articles Editor for the Journal of Law and Public Policy. She also presided as the Vice President of the Black Law Students Association, and served as the Community Service Chair for the Florida Association for Women Lawyers and the Caribbean Law Students Association.

In addition to her legal career, Ashley dedicates significant amounts of time in  the community. Ashley currently serves on the Community Outreach Committee for the Paul C. Perkins Bar Association. She also serves on the Justice Advisory Committee under Congressman Soto to collaborate on the Justice in Policing Act of 2020 with fellow community leaders in Florida.

In her spare time, Ashley enjoys fitness, competing in bodybuilding competitions, and traveling.
